Fuel Operator

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Fuel Operator (Petrol Pump Attendant) to join our service team in Kumily, the gateway to the Periyar Tiger Reserve and a major trade hub for the Idukki spice belt. Nestled on the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, our station serves a high volume of tourist fleets, plantation trucks, and interstate commuters. You will be the face of our hospitality, ensuring every traveler receives prompt and safe service in this bustling “Plantation Town.”

Key Responsibilities

• Fuel Dispensing: Accurately operate dispensers for Petrol, Diesel, and potentially EV charging stations, ensuring precise volume and quality for every vehicle, from safari jeeps to long-haul spice trucks.
• Payment & Billing: Efficiently handle cash and digital payments (UPI/POS), providing accurate receipts and maintaining a transparent record of daily shifts.
• Safety & Vigilance: Strictly enforce “No Smoking” and “Engine Off” protocols. As we are located near sensitive ecological zones and busy hill routes, maintaining a spill-free and fire-safe environment is critical.
• Essential Vehicle Services: Offer basic value-added services such as air pressure checks, windshield cleaning, and coolant/oil level checks, which are vital for vehicles preparing for the winding “Ghat” roads.
• Stock Coordination: Assist in the safe receiving of fuel tankers and monitor underground storage levels to ensure uninterrupted supply during peak tourist seasons.
• Guest Interaction: Greet visitors with a friendly and respectful attitude, providing assistance in Malayalam, Tamil, or English to accommodate both local residents and interstate tourists.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Minimum 8th or 10th pass; must be able to read meter displays and handle billing software.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in Malayalam and Tamil is highly preferred due to Kumily’s border location. Working knowledge of English or Hindi is a significant plus for interacting with global tourists.
• Numerical Ability: Strong mental math skills to handle quick transactions and ensure accurate change.
• Attributes: High level of alertness, physical stamina for standing shifts, and a calm, polite demeanor during the busy Sabarimala season and tourist holidays.

Experience

• 0–3 years preferred; prior experience in fuel retail, hospitality, or customer service is an advantage.
• Freshers with a strong sense of responsibility and a willingness to learn safety protocols are welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with digital payment systems (Paytm, GPay, etc.) is essential.
